Let me briefly present to you some of the realized activities. This overview in not exhausting and, at your request, we are ready to provide information on the projects realized also in other areas.
Media Law
The Pavel Nechala & Co. law firm has participated in the provision of the legal service for one of the Slovak nationwide television companies. This activity includes the elaboration of legal analyses and opinions concerning the problems occurring in the practice. Further, it includes the preparation of filings and representation in the proceedings before the State television broadcasting supervisory bodies, assessment and preparation of contracts with suppliers, employees, authors, executive artists and external partners.
Acquisitions, Joint Ventures
We have legally provided for the establishment of a joint-venture of a Slovak and American companies active in the trade in the greenhouse gases. This activity includes also further legal service relating to the activity of the joint-venture, ranging from handling of contractual relations to corporate matters.
Construction Projects
The investment construction has recently multiplied in the Slovak Republic. This brings with it also the need of provision of legal services, ranging form communication with the construction authorities, through handling of the sub-contracting relations up to handling of contractual relations with the buyers. We have participated in the completed projects in Devinska Nova Ves, Trnovec nad Vahom, Senec, Sala, Svit, etc. Currently, we are providing for two similar projects in Dunajska Luzna and Tesedikovo.
Competition
The Pavel Nechala & Co. law firm participates in approving of acquisition or change in control on the relevant market by the Anti-Monopoly Office of the Slovak Republic. We have participated in several proceedings of this type during approving of concentration on the media market. However, the scope of our activity includes also the elaboration of legal analyses concerning the restrictive agreements and abuse of dominant market position.
Protection of Personal Data and Documents
We have rich experience in providing of advisory concerning the protection of personal rights and registry. We have provided for the solution of issues form this area at a Slovak telecommunications operator, information technology producers, and also for smaller-scale Slovak enterprises. With respect to this issue, Mgr. Pavel Nechala has also been a guest speaker in the expert conference of the economic weekly Trend.
